Many restaurants, pubs, Kiosks etc offers a variety of international cuisine such as European, Lebanese, Chinese, Japanese African and Korean. At the local level, rice is the staple food accompanied by 'plasses' [source] such as cassava, potato and okra leaf. Groundnut soup, beans, stew with either chicken, beef or fish which is the king. Along the street, one can look out for sizzling goat or beef skewers, fried plantain, roast cassava tuber and coconut cakes. Freshly plucked fruits, pineapple, Mango, Pawpaw[papaya] banana and orange are available outside any of the main super market. Local palm wine common called " from God to man" is cheap, natural and favored in all the villages. Beer drinkers can sample star and stout brewed by the sierra Leone brewery limited. Fresh Coconut water is found along the street served straight from the cell.
